Luma AI raises $43 million for generative 3D AI tools, exclusively backed by a16z
Silicon Valley-based 3D AI startup Luma AI has raised $43 million in a Series B funding round exclusively backed by a16z. This follows a $20 million Series A round from investors including Amplify Partners, NVIDIA and General Catalyst. Luma AI, founded in 2021, specializes in 3D content generation and reconstruction, offering features like 3D photos and videos, image to 3D, video to 3D, and text to 3D. The company's core technology, NeRF, enables the creation of 3D scenes from 2D images. Luma AI recently launched its text-to-3D tool, Genie, which can help you create 3D assets faster.
