Apple has pushed back several key features of its Apple Intelligence initiative for Siri that were originally slated for iOS 18. The enhanced version of Siri, which promised a more personalized AI assistant experience when announced last year, won't arrive until 2026. The delayed features focus on making Siri more context-aware and capable. The AI assistant will eventually be able to scan through emails, messages, files and photos to complete specific tasks. It will also gain the ability to understand what's happening on the device's screen and perform actions that work across multiple apps. Apple hasn't provided any explanation for the extended timeline.

Larry Page, co-founder of Google, has founded Dynatomics, a new company for AI in manufacturing. According to two insiders, Page and a small team of engineers are working on using large language models to create designs for various objects and then have them manufactured in a factory. The stealth company is led by Chris Anderson, who previously served as CTO of Kittyhawk, a Page-backed project to build small electric aircraft. Although Page is still on the board of Google's parent company, Alphabet, he is no longer involved in day-to-day operations.
