Anthropic has announced two new features for its AI assistant Claude: a new team plan for companies and an iOS app for all users.
The new "Team Plan" targets companies that want to use Claude on a larger scale, offering higher usage quotas per user compared to the previous "Pro" plan.
Teams also gain access to the entire Claude 3 model family, including the Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku models, allowing companies to select the most appropriate model for each use case.
All models offer a context window of 200,000 tokens, which Anthropic says is suitable for entering very long documents such as research papers or contracts. However, science says you should be careful with use cases like this.
Additionally, the Team plan includes user and invoice management tools to simplify integration and reduce administrative overhead. As with the Pro plan, users receive priority access during peak times and early access to new features.
The Team plan costs 30 US dollars per user per month, with a minimum purchase of five licenses. For unknown reasons, Anthropic services are not yet available in Europe.
In the coming weeks, Anthropic plans to introduce additional collaboration features, such as citations from trusted sources to verify AI-generated claims, integrations with data sources such as code repositories or CRM systems, and the ability for colleagues to collaborate on AI-generated documents or projects.
Claude iOS app now available, Android to follow
Anthropic has also released an iOS app for Claude that allows users to access the AI assistant anytime, anywhere. The app seamlessly syncs with web chats, allowing users to continue their conversations across devices.
The app's image processing capabilities allow users to draw from their library, capture new images, or upload files for real-time image analysis, contextual understanding, and mobile use cases on the go.
The Claude iOS app is free to download for users on all plans, including Pro and Team.
