Adobe is selling AI-generated, photorealistic user-uploaded images of the Israel-Hamas war on its stock image subscription service, Adobe Stock. Although the platform requires submitters to disclose if images were generated with AI and labels them as such, these images have been used across the internet without any indication they are fake, Crikey reports. The use of such images raises concerns about transparency, the potential for misinformation, and the labor implications of using AI-generated images instead of on-the-ground photographers. Adobe has yet to comment on the issue.
