Microsoft introduces Bing Chat Enterprise, an AI-powered chat tool designed to protect sensitive business data and boost creativity and productivity in the workplace.

The chat tool is currently available in preview and offered with Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium plans, with a standalone version for $5 per user per month coming in the future. According to Microsoft, Bing Chat Enterprise is grounded in web data and provides complete, verifiable answers with citations, along with visual answers that include graphs, charts, and images.

Access Bing Chat Enterprise using your work account through Bing.com/chat, the Microsoft Edge sidebar, and eventually Windows Copilot. The tool guarantees privacy by not storing chat data or using it to train models. "No one at Microsoft can see your data," the company promises.

Visual Search in Bing Chat now lets you explore the web with images, not just words

In addition, Microsoft is introducing multimodal capabilities with Visual Search for Bing Chat, leveraging OpenAI's GPT-4 model, and matching visual search in Google's Bard chatbot via Google Lens.

Users can now upload images and search the web for related content, with Bing understanding the context and interpreting the image to provide relevant answers. The feature is available on desktop and the Bing mobile app, with plans to bring it to Bing Chat Enterprise over time.

Whether you’re traveling to a new city on vacation and asking about the architecture of a particular building or at home trying to come up with lunch ideas based on the contents of your fridge, upload the image into Bing Chat and use it to harness the web’s knowledge to get you answers.
