Boston Dynamic's "Spot" can now open doors on its own
Spot, Boston Dynamic's mobile robotic inspection platform, now includes thermal monitoring, acoustic leak detection and gauge reading capabilities.
These new capabilities make it easier to perform critical industrial tasks and enable autonomous robots to augment the global workforce, according to the company. Improved inspection workflows help prevent costly equipment failures and unplanned downtime. Oh, and Spot can now use its arm to autonomously open doors during missions, allowing the robot to access new inspection routes and move between rooms unassisted.
