Volkswagen establishes global AI lab to accelerate AI development

Volkswagen has established a dedicated "AI Lab" to accelerate the development and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its vehicles. The AI Lab will act as a global competence center and incubator, identifying new product ideas and collaborating with technology companies as needed. The aim is to quickly develop digital prototypes and hand them over to the Group's brands for implementation. Volkswagen sees significant potential in high-performance voice recognition, services that connect the user's digital environment with the vehicle, and enhanced vehicle functions, including AI-optimized charging cycles for electric vehicles and predictive maintenance.
