Getty Images unveils Generative AI tool for copyright-safe creations and commercial use

Getty Images introduces Generative AI by Getty Images, a "commercially safe generative AI tool". Built on Nvidia's Picasso Foundry and trained exclusively on Getty Images' image library, the tool offers full commercial and unlimited usage rights worldwide.

Getty Images, which is suing Stable Diffusion company Stability AI for copyright infringement, says its own Generative AI system responsibly extends the company's offerings by respecting creators' intellectual property through royalty-free licensing and compensation to content creators. Users can customize the Generative AI tool with proprietary data to create personalized images that reflect their brand's style and language. These and other features are planned for release later this year. The image generator can be activated on GettyImages.com or used via API.
