Hub AI in practice
Artificial Intelligence is present in everyday life – from “googling” to facial recognition to vacuum cleaner robots. AI tools are becoming more and more elaborate and support people and companies more effectively in their tasks, such as generating graphics, texting or coding, or interpreting large amounts of data.
What AI tools are there, how do they work, how do they help in our everyday world – and how do they change our lives? These are the questions we address in our Content Hub Artificial Intelligence in Practice.
Anthropic is expanding its bug bounty program to test its "next-generation system for AI safety mitigations." The program focuses on identifying and defending against "universal jailbreak attacks." Anthropic is prioritizing critical vulnerabilities in high-risk areas like chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defense and cybersafety. Participants get early access to Anthropic's latest safety systems before public release. Their task is to find vulnerabilities or ways to bypass safety measures. Anthropic is offering rewards up to $15,000 for discovering new universal jailbreak attacks.
Social media users are sharing AI-generated images of TEDx speakers that look remarkably lifelike. The speaker photos are so convincing that many people initially thought they depicted real individuals. Flux, developed by former members of the Stable Diffusion team, is the AI model behind these images. It was refined using a technique called LoRA to enhance its photorealism. These viral images were generated using the Flux dev model and LoRA in the ComfyUI tool, without any additional editing. To create similar images, users need the LoRA file and ComfyUI workflow. You can access ComfyUI here or via apps like Pinokio.
Surfline, a company specializing in providing information and services for surfers, is launching Premium+, a new AI-powered membership tier. Surfline offers a wide range of resources, including detailed surf reports, forecasts, webcams, and weather data for surf spots worldwide. The new features include a Wave Timeline that shows whether waves broke or were ridden in a 20-minute window, a Wave Distribution that displays the number of waves by height and whether they were ridden, and an AI-based crowd forecast. Smart Clips makes it easier to find, download, edit, and share footage of ridden waves directly in the app. Premium+ is available in the US for web and iOS users.
